Ive just had to tke my cat to the vets, I always put him on the passenger seat in his cat carrier. Well he is a big cat and he set off the bleeping thing! I didnt wnt to put him in the back or the boot as he dont really like travelling!
Eventually it realises its not going to win and stops! but it would be a good feature to enable you to switch it off!

i got my passenger one turned off an its quite simple...

under the front of the seat is a little black cover - in which two wires are connected... one of them is the sensor - just unplug it!

i sometimes have my hand on the passenger sear whilst driving (dont know why lmao) and so i unplugged it

You must have a huge fat hand to set off the alarm... :p

...would i be right in thinking that the other one is the airbag and if you pull that one out you could find yourself in rather deep sh!t?!

what colour etc is the cable lol?

i dont know? ive forgotten now - trial and error, plug the driver seatbelt in with the ignition on, sit on the seat and try the cables.... the one that makes the light go out wins!

i managed to pick it first time but yes i can see what u mean about the air bag.... im glad i left it in!

I had same prob in my van when I had stuff sitting on the front seat. Go down the the breaker yard. Find a smashed GP, cut the seat belt buckle off the old seat belt in the smashed GP and put the seat belt clip black in your cars passenger seat belt holder. Thats what I did, then when you have a passenger just remove it and put the propper seat belt clip attached to the car in instead. Simple. PLUS cheap!

gd solution tbf...hadn't thought of that! (y)

...although the obvious winner is just to use the boot...after all, that's what it's there for! :p
