For some bizarre reason my passengers seat has decided to stop fecking tilting. Is there an easy fix or new seat

Tried and tests.

Make sure the base of the seat is clicked home. Push it all the way back then try again.
Failing that the handle mechanism has probably gone.

I reckon your locking mechanism has jammed. I dont think you will need a new seat.

remove it

other than what everyone else has said bud i'm out of ideas on this one...mine does stick but you can normally get it to move with a bit of violence so if you're not managing to do that it may be more serious

I find that mine sometimes sticks like this if there's been a particularly long legged passenger in the car and they've moved the seat fully back.

If I move the seat forward one notch it always works fine afterwards.

I spent a good 10 minutes of violence on it. Dealers....AGAIN :bang:

Maybe if its always happening when fully back, it could be jamming up. I would have a look, because one day someone will knacker it all together!

Na it hasn't. Thats why I made this thread! Was hoping for a quick fix for now...cos I have to get out to let people in the back! Yes lazy

Yes that is lazy Danny lol! I got this on my GPS, the lever doesn't go all the way up. Im going to have to take it apart and see what is causing it. When I can be arsed that is.

This was a common problem in the Fiesta, and it was like £120 to get Ford to fix it as the whole seat needed stripping down... or £12 for the parts

hopefully you'll get it under warranty if it is broke!

Take the door off and drop kick the seat.

Take the drivers door off and remove the drivers seat and kick it through the car...that way you have more room to gather momentum when you carry out the drop kick
