Hi new to fiat and the forum but was wandering what engine dress up bits are available for the 1.3 MJet 90 and if they are worth remapping etc? Also with it being a diesel do they have option for induction kit?? Excuse my ignorance but I haven't a bloody clue at the moment!!

Ideally looking to change the hoses and engine cover also any nice shiny forge products or similar would be good ;)

Thanks in advance

no 'propper' induction kit is available for a 1.3 yet ie GSR
remapping - yes as far as im aware
hoses - probable universal one will do, as for specific ones im not 100%

so overall im not very helpfull, haha.

Well now I feel a right lemon - is the 1.3 a turbo disel lol as everything i look at says 1.3TD and don't know what this stands for?

Hello all - slight update!!! The garage who will remain nameless at this stage as they have "lost" our ordered vehicle and have now replaced the order for an extra £600 the following:

5dr White Fiat Grande Punto 1.6 MJet Sporting with 2 tone wheels

Welcome to the FIATForum. And I think if they are offering you a 1.6MJ Sporting for 600 squid more than a 1.3MJ Dynamic - go for it! Or did I just misunderstand  The two-tone wheels are a couple of hundred quid as an option.

We got the 90BHP eleganza through west mids police and then the garage (who blame Fiat - who blame the garage) lost the car and they had stopped production apparently for the new facelift. The difference in price was £1400 pound but we put our foot down and got the 1.6 for £600 extra instead at a reasonable price of .... wait for ....

£11000 OTR!!!!

Will post a new thread this weekend with the full spec but expecting to collect last week in September

Tbf they discontinued the 90 mjet donkeys ago so any car you would have got would have been standing around for ages whereas the 1.6 mj is brand new model nearly so at least it won't have been standing in a field forever and should have had a lot of the small improvements and recalls done.

How did you get it through the West Mids Police, and which garage??

I'm so glad I've found someone else who has at least been offered a 1.6Mjet as I thought I was the only one (and feeling a little paranoid that it was never going to appear).

I, too, am expecting my 1.6 Mjet Sporting 5-dr White mid-September (ish, dealer was bit vague, using Fiat's annual 2-week summer break as the excuse). I've added a few extras (some of which are eye-wateringly expensive for what they are, but essential to me) so I've not got as good a price as you have.

At least it's not just my dealer's imagination then, that the 1.6 Mjets exist! It will be interesting to compare our evaluation of our cars (when [if] they ever turn up in about a month or so). I drive the 1.3 90 at the moment so I'm hoping for more of the same - only better!

Out of interest, have any of you chaps or chapesses, driven the 1.3mjet 75 diesel? Is it similar to the 1.4 8v? And does it feel sluggish in your opinions?

Many thanks

Its good on turbo nice and torquey for sucha small motor pulling onto motorway without a downshift is easy. Bad news is that it has a narrow power band so you spend a lot of time off turbo where it is rubbish.
