hi Guys

This is the only thing that i dont like about the GP is that it dont have a auto dimming mirror (minor fault i know ). I do a lot of night driving and hate flicking the mirror back and forth. Is there any way of installing a auto dimming mirror?

You can buy after market one, they range from £60 to £180. They just need wiring up. Check out this chap who sells them and helps you with questions you may have.. www.wembleysells.com

ye i felt the same way and plus its £70, if it was £20 i would have it but £70. Thanks for the link just been having a look and i think i will order the one with the garage door and elecy gate opener buttons on it. Just need to find a spare £100 and a bit squid. But its the only mod i fell i would want to make to the GP. Thanks again

How is not having an auto dimming rear mirror a fault? lol What other hatches of a similar spec/price have them?

Problem hardly any, but good subtle choice I reckon

Cant remember I used the dimming function of my rear view mirror, actually no I do use it when snotty nosed boy racers drive too close at night.

With the old bird (My Punto not swmbo) pushing on the years and mileage I now resort to a quick puff of lovely black diesel fumes for their breathing pleasure.

Ah to be young and annoying again.....

can you use any auto mirror from a car that has one standard aslong as the sensor is in the unit itself?

A new shape Corsa I hired had auto dimming mirror, wonder if it uses the same mirror as the GP?

I think alot of them have the unit in itself, I think they need wiring up to a power point... not sure though

Just tuck a 9v battery in the headliner

my ol astra had one, had an annoying orange light that lit up the centre console permanently too

It'd prolly break on the GP anyway
