Hi, I'm new to the forum so tell me off if this is the wrong place.

Basically I'm embarking on a dangerous, extremely difficult and some would say pointless project to change all the orange interior LEDs to blue ones so that it looks slightly cooler. However I don't wanna fk the car so I thought about getting a scrap speedo unit and practising the de-soldering of the LEDs on that. if all goes well, can I fit it where the current one is without wiping any mileage computers etc? is the mileage information stored in another computer somewhere else in the car?

Id really recommend getting this done professionally cause you could REALLY screw things up.

If you want to fit new clocks you need to get ones with lower mileage and then Fiat will need to proxy allign them to the car.

the center consul isn't led..... its lit with bulbs....

I understand how things could get extremely messed up but if we take that out of the equation it is still do-able. I have the necessary equipment.

As for the centre console, are the orange bits filters on the bulbs or on the dials themselves. I have a horrible feeling that it is the dials due to one of them being blue and red!

And Andy, how will the dash dimming function be affected? I know blue LEDs of the same size will be slightly dimmer anyway.

Finally aircooled, who does this kind of thing and how much do they charge? Any links?
