As someone who had PI springs on their GP I feel it's my moral obligation to advise against these springs....

They are cheap for a reason, they give a VERY harsh ride and do not lower it anywhere near the estimated 40mm. I was very dissapointed with them and have ordered Eibach Sportlines this time...i would suggest spending the extra £40(ish) and getting them too.

Now you tell me:bang:......(y)

All you will of been recommended on here is to buy eibachs so you cant use not being told as an excuse to buying crap springs.

That's a good point Matt....and the ONLY reason i bought those springs was because there were only like 4 other people who'd dropped there GP's on the forum at the time and none on PI's so i guess someone had to let us all know they were shiiiite :bang:

Anyone tried Spax springs ? Used thier rear dampers years ago on Mk1 escort (I did say years ago) and they were good.

i have spax, ther only 35mm tho

your right, harsh enough ride cheap though.

is ther any difference between spax and apex? beacuase i ordered my springs of ebay, i was ordering apex, and when they came they had spax printed on them:confused: didnt really care enough at the time to ask the seller

I fitted the rear spring yesterday and dispite what your saying im pleased. Its dropped dow far enough and it feels fine.
No doubt i'll be singing a different tune tomorrow when I do the front 2.
But to be honest I dont really give a s**t. They cant be that bad:)

i found the drop at the back end sufficient, but the fron sits too high. when you have both fitted get some pics up and let us know what you think to the ride (y)

this is what mine looked like after lowering on PI's

Hi I just lost my last message:mad: . Anyway to cut a long story short I'll post pics tomorrow, and the rides hard but my last car was harder. im happy now that my car doesnt look like a 4x4, and flap about when im cornering. Fitting was hard because i didnt have a 18mm swan necked circular spanner or a long allen key..Anyway more tomoz
