I thought you had been saying it cant be mapped, my mistake
do me peter. do me turbo when i get one. lol.
guess we geta see how much dif the forge IC makes when i come down.
did you fit the abarth turbo or the abarth esseesse turbo?? because the abarth has only 160 bhp and not 170!!Hello to everyone! I would like to say some things to all t-jet guys thinking of doing this swap.First of all the price we did the swap (vl 36) was very low (using a new turbo, not used---approx. 700 pounds with the remap which was neccesary) and thought it was a very good value for money. Well the numbers we saw were less than we expected ( 170 hp @crank) and this is because we dont have the same cams with the Abarth. The car comparing it to my T-Jet (remapped, catback) rolling side by side with 2nd gear from 3.000 rpm was slightly ahead till mid 3rd gear and ALL the difference was in 4th gear.My friends T-jet just dissapeared there ( 5 car lenghts till 190 kmh). All i can say now is that the car is side by side with a Corsa OPC (192ps) till 200 kmh. Impressive, huh?
Now i have my Abarth turbo i cab start asking a few questions! How difficult was it to fit. I understand its a direct replacement so should be a case of bolting it on using the original gaskets and hoses! Or would you recommend getting new gaskets and hoses?
