Ah why didnt you say that :( I would of started saving for one ages ago.

It's never too late Matt! The number we saw as IainG said above is exactly 168ps.We expected more but the cams don't let us.I think it's about time we used the Colombo Bariani 272's that are available. Then the car will show at least 185+ in my opinion, together with the forge fmic.

with a bit of luck you wil lkill yourself or even worse someone else with this silly mind set you have of straight line speed you stupid ZORBA boy racer:(:(:(:(:(:(

Sometimes it's better to chew instead of speak.....

This is what we do here 2 times a week after midnight on roads that traffic does not exist. We NEVER have other cars in our way, quite simply because
we wait by a sidewalk there for the lights to go red and then we go first in the line. We are not ''boy'' racers, many of us are above 30's.

I'm quite sure that if you see this action just one time and the cars that come in these meets (F430's novitec,Carreras 997 tt,Evo's above 700hp) your ears will drop off and your tongue will be out of your mouth like a dog..

And to state the facts for some other members that read here and have brains in their head im just gonna say that--Guys we do not want to street race, but here in Athens we do not have ONE closed track to blow off steam.Only one which is 400 miles away from here...In England you have plenty...

So JASSYO leave zorba alone and be more polite next time if you dont know the facts because i can also write racist comments.Coprente??

Hello to everyone! I would like to say some things to all t-jet guys thinking of doing this swap.First of all the price we did the swap (vl 36) was very low (using a new turbo, not used---approx. 700 pounds with the remap which was neccesary) and thought it was a very good value for money. Well the numbers we saw were less than we expected ( 170 hp @crank) and this is because we dont have the same cams with the Abarth. The car comparing it to my T-Jet (remapped, catback) rolling side by side with 2nd gear from 3.000 rpm was slightly ahead till mid 3rd gear and ALL the difference was in 4th gear.My friends T-jet just dissapeared there ( 5 car lenghts till 190 kmh). All i can say now is that the car is side by side with a Corsa OPC (192ps) till 200 kmh. Impressive, huh?
did you fit the abarth turbo or the abarth esseesse turbo?? because the abarth has only 160 bhp and not 170!!

Now i have my Abarth turbo i cab start asking a few questions! How difficult was it to fit. I understand its a direct replacement so should be a case of bolting it on using the original gaskets and hoses! Or would you recommend getting new gaskets and hoses?

You're gonna need new gaskets and torque key.

Hoses I think you can use the same.

Abarth turbo (vl 36) with a remmap. The SS turbo is not an ihi, its a garett GT1446.

you will not need new gaskets as you unbolt it from the exhaust manifold, all i done was changes factory hose clips with different ones :) but mines a t-jet and its running just under 20 psi and hits sum sort of boost limit, not quite sure what it is yet, has any one eles fitted one and had problems?

Looks like a fairly simple job to be honest! Any ideas where i can get a gasket from? My dealer isn't really an option!
