Evening all,

Got a 07 Grande Punto Sport and have had to buy a new plastic grill for the front bumper. Now to fit it looks a pretty simple push the bottom half of the grille in and then the top part which has 5 plastic spikes basically for pushing in and locking in place but this isn't the case and only goes in so far which is leaving it to loose to drive about with. Now has anyone any ideas of fitting this properly or sugguest anyone locally who could possibly do this? It was a £20 part so not exactly wanting to pay over the odds for a local place to fix. It may be that you might need to take the front bumper of to do this?

Cheers

Such a pain to get back in arent they!!
I tried and tried after taking them out to spray black - in the end I had to remove the middle few fitting-teeth with a stanley knife so that it would fit back into the gap it came from.. In all honesty I think they went a bit overkill with the number of clips on the grilles
Anyway as long as you have a good few in the corners and along the bottom I'm sure you'l be fine (mine hasnt moved in 2000 odd miles)
Hope this helps ;)

Bloody nightmare so it is, tried and tried but gave in earlier on tonight. Not got much options to be honest. Think I can only chop off a few of the clips in the middle and push come to a shove super glue around about it. Looks a bit silly just now with a bit hole underneath it. Should anyone have any better ideas hit us with a small reply.

Is that going to be removing the top one aswell or just put the wood up through the bottom space?

I gather with the top grille then you just need to give it a quick pull out and its not in with screws or anything then ?

If you can't find a wood just use your hand!Hold the bumper from inside so you can push the grill hard in its place. Then put the top grill in again ( very easy) and you're done...estimated time...30 seconds.
