anyway, anyone know of any after market pipes that will last.

thanks

I love that its a known fault and its not covered under warranty:rolleyes:

£60 for diagnostics is crap. I had mine checked out for free under warrenty they tightened up the hose clips. Pipes are considered a consumable in the 3rd year and aren't covered but they don't cost much anyway.

Not much? They said £95. Whats worse it went in a few weeks ago with same thing and they said it was inlet manifold pipe or something and charged £60 for that to. I've decided with the last few months warenty left its just not worth takining it in for faults. I'll stick to getting work done at my mates garage. Its a shame because i love the car.

I would take it to another garage if i were you. I think it's unacceptable to pay for diagnostic tests while still under warrenty!

Is it a stoneacre or something else?

I Ollerton North yorkshire or sheffield?

its worksop dealer. never again unless engine blows up lol.

Take it to stoneacre at rotherham or GK in sheffield neither of these will charge for diagnostic's. I've had quite a bit of work done at these and they are very good.

Speak to Ray or John at rotherham they will sort you out(y)

So they charged you for the wrong diagnosis of the fault (inlet manifold pipe) & now theyve charged you again? Oh no no no no no. £60 refund due i think. If they got the diagnosis wrong it's their blo*dy problem, not yours. You shouldnt have had to pay for the second diagnosis i reckon.

Tbh its a cheek they charge at all for diagnosis when its under 3 years old. Interesting to read tho, i'll just make sure i never buy a Fiat that's still under warranty. If more people did the same they'd soon get the message.

You would think that wouldnt you..... My dealer wouldn't refund me £70 for the "diagnosis" of the gearbox sqeal, even when it eventually turned out to be a clip that they had knocked out previously

you cant have it both ways though guys, free diagnosis & refund if incorrect.

garage cant do work for free (they wont be a garage for long) and if they do or for a nominal fee then you got to expect a degree of guesswork. If you dont get charged then the garage has to try and claim diagnostic time through 3rd year which is pityful to say the least...luck to get £10-15. End of the day its not completely the garages fault but more the 3rd year warranty set up which is (IMO) in these modern times rather crap compared to others.
