 Nah 1.9 8valvers raaaawk... see how few are advertised for sale lol!

Almost everybody that has one wants to keep it. (y)

1.9 aaaaaaaany day, sounds better to people not in the know, 1.9 is bigger!

its a tough bastard the old 1.9 too

Well, 235lb/ft at 1750 revs, 62.8mpg and 119g/km of CO2 (£35 road tax bracket) is way better than the 1.9 8v.

The price is steep, I am sure that a few weeks down the line Broadspeed etc will have at least £3.5k off list price.

Thank God they dropped yellow! They also seem to have dropped the hill holder facility and the CD-MP3 player too, they have however added cruise control and lockable fuel cap.

I have not driven it yet though, I guess it will be quieter, faster during in-gear acceleration, should also achieve over 50mpg under mixed driving conditions (I am currently in the 42-45mpg zone, can't get any better than that).

hill holder was pretty good i thought, notice it not being there when get into misses car to drive, corsa still have it. and putting the cost up for less equipment seems a bit bizarre? got cruise standard on my 08 car and lockable fuel cap has been around a while.

When i looked a few days ago it was just the 1.6 Mjet that had limited colours available, but the Tjet Sporting had the usual colours still available, so i wondered if they were phasing the colours in gradually on the Mjet. They could be phasing them out on the Tjet ofcourse, but id guess its the former as otherwise it'd be a pretty narrow colour choice.

Its also weird how leather is available on Dynamic, GP & Sporting models but not the luxury Eleganza spec.

According to the "Compare/Spec" charts, it's a £800 option on all Eleganzas, Dynamics, and GPs. The Sportings have a different £600 "Sports Leather Interior" option.

Try putting it on an Eleganza in the configurator! It won't have any of it. It's been taken off the Dynamic & GP specs in the configurator aswell now. Fiats configurator is generally much better than other manufacturers that ive used but i wish theyd make things match up, ie the spec sheets & configurator.

I have driven the 1.6 a few months ago in europe. I will say its quieter and more ecomomical, but there is no way it is quicker. It picks up slowly, has more lag and lacks grunt above 65 mph. As I drove it on a track with a Tjet and an 'old mjet' I can also say it cant even think of keeping up on the straights! It does feel lighter in the corners than the 1.9. but the acceleration of the 1.9 outweighs this advantage.
