I think I'm gonna have to keep it and take my chances. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and treat it nicely from now on.

I personally don't think i've caused any lasting damage from what the mechanics have said and obviously the warnigs/driving condition of the car.

But i know nothing so maybe is just optimism.

In what way write it off? I wouldn't sell it because i dont own it. If you read my earlier post. Its on HP and I can give it back with an £80 cancellation cost.

Do you honestlt think it is THAT bad that it will die??

TBH nobody knows, its up to you, i would give it back for the £80, at least you have peice of mind.

I didnt know it was HP. If he owned the car outright then its pretty sound advice to be quite honest. I know people that have done it. You cant use it and you cant sell it. Its either that or sell it to some poor bugger who ends up with a dud. Id rather the insurance company pays out.

OR just repair any damage so the car in mechanically sound then sell it on

Its impossible to say. you dont know what damage it has done unless you take the engine apart to have a look at the wear it has caused due to low oil.

Anything can be repaired or replaced...If you really want to get rid of it i think the honest thing to do is get it fixed up before you sell it.

Take it to the dealers get them to look over it and if there's nothing wrong...great and if there is then get it fixed

They can look at it all they want it will look fine from the outside. All the damage will of been done on the inside hence why i keep saying it needs to be taken apart to find out how much damage could of been caused. Personally i would keep running it. If it goes it goes. Just buy a new engine from a scrappy for a few hundred quid and get them swapped over.

I know the source of your deep felt anger was the bad decision to go TJet instead of an MJet Matt but it will pass honestly!
