I want to reset my service counter, how is this achieved? cheers

are you been serious, that is a money making con, what happens if you dont get it reset?
then you get the service message up all the time.
guess thats annoying lol. i cant justify paying the fiat dealer £35 for a 2 min job to reset a bloody service counter.
lol tell me about it, but sometimes it has to be done, lol it would do my head in the sevice light coming on all time lol.
Our diagnostic system can only do the Stilos and Panda 100bhp at the mo but we upgrading the 'K wire lead' and we shall be able to do puntos at a smaller fee lol

Personally I update the cars ecu/body computer/airbag ecu etc at the same time so customer gets more for their money however you cant expect a official dealer to only charge a tenner or similar after buying all the diag equipment etc, they have to recoup this somehow.
As I always say, its better than BT knocking at your door saying "thats £110 to knock on your door now its £70p/h until we fix fault"!

ok you have a fair point, however i might concider having my car serviced at a fiat dealer if it was a fair price as the 18000 mile serive consists of very little work but yet fiat insist on charging you £100's.

i thought tappets shouldnt need adjusting untill like 100k miles?!

if it was that much around here then i would definatly do that as its cost me £60 in parts and now i need a reset for £35 ive been quoted alot more, plus mines a diesel.

you mentioned before about a software update on such things as the airbags etc, can you tell me if this would effect my car mapping software as i have had it mapped by a tuning company?
