goodmorning. as the title says i retrofitted the 12v power socket into the boot. 10 minute job tops. bought the ''plug'' from dealer 16 gbp , removed the rear pillar cover found the wire that already existed and pluged it. reattached the cover and that's it. the most easy mod i made.

mine hadn't one .the dealer when i order gp wanted 98 gbp for it. but i took my chances and won! i fit it and i am happy with it. 16 gbp of cost. know if only i could find a used cruise control lever. it costs 145 gbp new from dealer.

i've bought an electric bump for the tyres and has a short cable. the boot was the only solution. and for an additional light into the boot.

I'm still waiting for my new Eleganza to arrive, should it have a 12v socket in the boot and has everyone got the wiring there for it if it hasnt?

Jesus mary and joseph....100quid for a 12v socket!!

This is one thing I have really been meaning to do...just never got around to it...maybe i'll get my arse in gear now i'm doing the build!

One question though, is it a perm live or switched?

P

No switch on the socket itself but there's no power to it with the ignition off so you won't drain the battery if you leave something plugged in.

Lol, I didn't mean does it have a switch on it. I was asking if it was switched...i.e. does it go on and off with ignition. You answered my question anyway :)

you have a part number for that mate?

is this the same for the 1.2 gp active?

[Pantomime mode] OH NO IT ISNT! [/pantomime mode]

:D

The GP active has a different loom to the others and doesn't have the socket hidden behind the trim (although the hole is cut in the boot trim) I just ran a wire back to the battery (via a fuse) and took the earth from the rear light clusters earth post

with the added bonus its constantly live

sorry mate for the delay. i'll have a look and i will tell you. i don't know if thiw will affect the order but mine is a left hand drive. just for the record. the power cable haw a small grey spunch rapped over the plug.mine was located inside the left carpet of the boot.

If anyone knows the part number for the boot 12v socket that would be great as the dealer wants £42, but they reckon its the same part as the socket up front(comes in 3 bits)?? I thought it would be 1 piece and a different part?

as promised, 735260656. 18,5 euros here.

Thought it was standard on all GP's anyway?

My 2007 Dynamic 75 5 door doesn't have one either, I like the moderators Idea of buying one from a motor factor, lot cheaper and will still do the job.
slightly off story but has anyone put a rear roof light in the Dynamic? annoying when you open a rear door at night and you're met with darkness, how cheap skate is that(n)
