why do the chips make less power than re maps then, mos mapped M-Jets make between 180 and 190 dont they yet yours is 150

not a dig, just a question

That was just an estimate when i first got the chip. After using it for 7000 miles i belive its more like 160-165ish although its never been on a RR. The main focus of the chip i use is for fuel economy not pure power. There are other chips whick produce more power than mine but i this is the best compromise between the two.

i dont need to know exactly how much power its producing. The figures are from the manufacturer who say the m-jet will produce 150bhp. I believe mattyk had his on RR which showed 145bhp or similar when standard? That would mean with the chip manufacturers stats my car will be producing 160-165bhp. All that matters to me is that the chip works in the ways it was designed for and saves me quite a bit of money.

 manufacturers of the "electric turbo induction fan" make HP increase claims. Get it on a Rolling Road and add credibility to your claims I say, I see exactly where Matt is coming from here.

Ok Ffoxy i agree with you about getting mine on the RR to prove what the chip can do on the M-Jet. I would like to do this but don't know of any where in Sheffield or Leicester.

You cannot compair that noddy "electric turbo induction fan" to a DTUK chip. The chip is a proper piece of electronics made for the job.

But for arguments sake and to prove that these chips do work and give real power gains here are the RR results from Regal autosport.

The Bhp figures are recorded and we can prepare a print out of them,
this can be a plain graph for £25 or we can include a photo of your car and
print on photo quality paper for £35 ( includes the basic print out too)

Cheers tym but are these guy's any good?

There is a garage called JP autotechnics at the end of my road. I've just found out they do RR tests but charge £75 a pop:eek:

the only problem with chip is that when not properly plugged in it can have a fault contact into the connectors wich can result in a broken ECU... so only make sure you have it properly installed and check it after the first week and then every time you check the oil and water level
