Usually occurs when im turning at slow speed (its NOT the tyres grinding at slow speed) - have noticed it a while back but seems to be getting louder?

It does seem to dissapear above, 20/30mph but could just be hidden by road noise..

At first it sounded like some liquid was "slopping" about in a tank ie screen wash-but it is deffinately something mechanical banging around the front left wheel arch area. Just wondering if anyone here can advise me. Someone suggested ball joint but??

NOTE: ITS A 2007 GRANDE PUNTO SPORTING 1.4 (95BHP)

sounds like a cv joint, jack it up so the wheel is off the ground.

Grab the wheel at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock and check for any play.

Do the same at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock.

If you get some play its that.

Would you not get the same play if it was a wheel bearing

Get someone to press the brake pedal and if the play goes its the wheel bearing (y)

With the car jacked up and on axle stands someone hold the brake pedal down and you twist the driveshaft with your hand, any play will show up in the joint. You can do this with the wheels on the ground but its easier with it jacked up.
