Tuning Upgrade Or Remap

Jamies was special as it had a 1.4 8v head IIRC. Also those read outs were from Red Dot's rolling road which has come under some criticism recently for over reading (not by a big amount though).

Just down to what they set there transmissions losses to. Its no biggy when you have before and after runs though as you are still getting the same gains even if the losses were set lower.

I checked the graphs and it looks like the standard 1.2 is around 75bhp and with the map around 84bhp which is slightly less that the standard 1.4 (86bhp). So for £350 your getting a similar horse power to the 1.4 standard which shouldn't effect the gearbox if the 1.4 uses the same one and has slightly more power as standard.

I suppose it depends how much it will add to insurance as to if it is cost effective or not. Personally, with the money I've spent on my car so far I think I'll just go with the map/induction.

Aye same gains when worked out in percentage not bhp. Just for the record I'm not in anyway knocking GSR or Red Dot their tuning really does work :slayer:.

so i don't have the bhp they tell me? :p

:D Its all calculations and formula's... @Tris H thanks buddy.... but every little Hoss is pulling like a mad mutha ta much! ;)

I'll settle for as little as 190Bhp TBH....
