I recently upgraded the hard disc on my computer and had to download the Ecorive software again.

Once that was done successfully, I plugged in the memory stick and got the last few days data onto my computer.

When I plugged the memory stick back in the car's USB port, the stereo unit indicated "VOICE" and heard "UPGRADE STARTED", shortly followed by "UPGRADE COMPLETED. PLEASE REMOVE THE MEMORY STICK".

I removed the memory stick, then the morning after, I plugged it back in and got exactly the same messages. Since then, every time I start the car, I am getting the same message!

The system is working fine though, it is just a bit irritating listening to the same message over and over again!

Does anyone experience this issue?

did you remove the memory stick as the nice lady asked?

make sure the update file isn't still on the stick

As danielfay88 said check the install.inf file on your memory stick. This should disappear after it has installed for the first time, If it hasnt just delete it.

I am ressurecting this thread as I am trying to update the software on a 59 plate Grande Punto 1.4gp.
The versions 5.5 then 5.6 were downloaded in turn and seemed to have been completed as I wanted the B&M system to use my itouch. Apparently this does not operate the apple itouch on a GRande Punto and only on a 500 . I know the itouch works on a 500 as we had a pop 11 plate and was fine.
It maybe that the software is in , but the process of installing went well, and completed , I notice the files are still in the stick that wa also the case for 5.5 v , buthese were formatted before 5.6., so maybe they were installed anyway.
I can play a classic ipod but does not want recognize an itouch(the types of files are from all over the place as downloads but surely they all end up the same when being played. Apart from buying a B&M adapter is there a newer software version than 5.6 please?

5.6 only came out around November 2011 so I think it's still the latest version.

How did the marketing department allow that name to get through? Maybe it is targeted at catholic priests.

On a more serious note, I think the blue and me in the 500 has more capabilities than that in the gp as the hardware is different. It can do things like Bluetooth streaming which I don't think the gp can.
