My new Series 2 1.9mjet has now done 1200 miles, the problem is it lacks the power,acceleration and pull of my series 1 which was the same model,I first thought it needed running in but it does not seem to get any better.With this in mind I rang the dealer to check it was actually the 130bhp version as I could not find any evidence in the car (the old one had a plate inside the drivers door which clearly stated 1.9 MJET Sporting 130bhp),the dealer confirmed it is actually the 130bhp version and has asked me to bring it in so they can run a diagnostics and also get Fiat Technical on the case,my question is could the car have been shipped with an inaccuratly configured ECU or what other reasons could be at fault.

have you opened the bonnet and had a look? they might have fitted the 1.3 instead lol

Your probably right Tris,nothing would surprise me with Fiat,as I said there is no visable mark on this car to say it is the 130bhp version,or non that I can find.

And taken as such Matt,I knew this post may of started a few TJet Vs Mjet opinions but I think its time to put our differences down to personal taste and try and help as many Fiat Grande Punto owners as we can,god knows we need all the help we can get!!!!!

It's happened in the past, i remember a big posting on here some time ago about someone had bought an mjet 1.9 i think and he had actually been sold a 1.3, i'm pretty sure that was the case.

Its not that much under powered,just no where near my old one.
