M.O.T Done

Half Way Home .. "What's All That While Smoke" Andddd "Where's My Power"

Yeah It Was My Turbo, I Knew 0-60 In Less That 6Seconds Wasn't Good For The Car =[[

It's At Fiat Wednesday And We All Know They Released A Bunch Of Grande Puntos With Faulty Turbos Back In '06 And Didn't Recall Them.

Yeahh .. It's Been Re-Mapped [By RedDot] 183.4 BHP And 243.6ft-lb Torque At Wheels.

Has This Happened To Anyone Else ?? And Was There Any More Damage Apart From Blown Turbo Because I'm Thinking Of Putting A Bigger One On.

Thanks.

Another one bites the dust....

Yes its happened to a few people, but experts concerned agree its defiantly a bad batch of turbo's not a problem with tuning (although the tuning makes it fail quicker).

As for putting a bigger one on its not really an option unless you go down the custom hybrid route which costs ££££'s.

Not Really Got Much Of A Clue On Engine Modifications .. Well, Not On Turbo Cars Or Diesel Cars Anyway.

theDTP *Thinks* ... "What Is This Custom Hybrid Route" Lol, I Always Thought I Could Just Put A Whole New Turbo And Intercooler Kit On For Around £1000 -£1500 Or Is That Just Stupid Talk ??

I Always Thought Knocking 3.4-3.6 Seconds Off The Standard 9.4 Seconds To 60Mph Couldn't Be Good =[

Just dont say anything about your map. No doubt they will know there is a faulty batch so should be a pretty simple case of getting it swapped.

Thanks Matt :)

I Wont be Mentioning That :slayer:

Only Been Mapped About 2Month And I Might Of Only Just Turned 19 But I Don't Drive It Like A D*ck .. Might Of Done A Couple Fast Take Of Now And Then But I Got To Test It And Have A Little Fun Sometimes

Its not worth going down a hybrid turbo route on it tbh. Its all well and good buying the turbo but considering the power you could potentially be putting out you would have to start upgrading plenty of other stuff to cope with it.

Thanks For The Info .. So Do I Just Stick With Getting A Induction Kit [GSR] And A New Exhaust ?? I'm Scared Of The Turbo Being Killed Again By The Re-Map :(

:banghead: The map doesnt kill the turbo. There were a dodgy batch of turbos from garrett which went into many cars not just fiats. These are prone to failing and as has already been said a remap just speeds this up slightly. Induction kit, Intercooler and get the map adjusted to suit that will fine on an Mjet.
