There is no argument anyway as you dont know whether it is likely or unlikely that they will check for a map. All i have said is it is possible they will if they suspect it is down to abuse and hes trying to get it under warrenty.

Its possible yes, In my opinion unlikely, im baseing that on the amount of people that have had warranty work carried out without any raised eyebrows on already mapped and modified cars. Also im just trying to give the guy a break and put his mind at rest. thats all.

Ive not had an MOT, how is that related?

the OP has had an MOT which means its 3 years old and out of warrenty

And what exactly puts you in a position to say it is unlikely? If the turbo has gone because they suspect he is abusing the car then there is a high chance it will. And anyway with you haveing an MOT are you not out your warrenty now?

Yeah Out Of Warrenty But They Still Want To Help If They Can, If It's Not Down To Me And Find It Had A Faulty Turbo Even If They Think It Is Down To Me Aswell As A Faulty Turbo Then We're Splitting The Costs Becasue They Reckon It Could Be A Faulty Turbo

we all rag around a little untill we grow up as the temptation is too high but if we dont grow up we will pay for it eventually and i hate to say it but it looks like you will be paying. quite a lot in fact.

£500+ for a new turbo i would of thought. Depends if it has done any other damage or not so you could end up paying labour for them to strip the engine down to find out.

Having A Free Diagnostic Done To See Exactly What Is Wrong .. Rattleing Noise From The Engine Tho (n)

Could be through oil starvation when the turbo bearings / seals went south...

Yeah but diagnostics will only tell you something is wrong if a sensor has picked something up which might not of happened.

depends. if he means an actual diagnosis then it will be stripped down and investigated to determine the cause. if he means interrogating the ecu then it wont help. low boost would have probably been picked up, but that is only a symptom.

Could Well Be .. Just Hope It's Only The Turbo That Need Replacing, Can Afford That But Not Much More At The Moment.

Well if its tapping may be cam lobes, if knocking could be big-end shells...
