Very Very High In Cetane Made This Possible .. But Anyway How Do I Delete This Thread I Can't Be Bothered ..

Just for info for everyone slating the performance figures - Here's the closest comparison from a manufacturer I can see:

Seat Ibiza Cupra Diesel - 10kg heavier and 157bhp, 240ft-lb torque (manufacturers figures so torque will be flywheel, not wheels). This has 0-60 of 7.4 and 137 top speed (gearing dependant figures of course but seems a close comparison).

Their 128bhp "FR" diesel model (which is 55kg heavier than the GPS - that's an 8 stone passenger) posts standard figures very close the the standard GPS so you can see the difference the 30bhp makes.

So with that in mind I can't see why an extra 25-30bhp and 40-50ft-lb of torque (flywheel) couldn't result in at least a decent sub 7 second 0-60 for a remapped GPS. Mine doesn't suffer too badly for grip when accelerating hard, probably due to the weight over the front wheels! 25+bhp is definitely noticeable in a 1200kg car, which by modern standards isn't that heavy! (compare it to the 1600kg Alfa Brera!) :)

this isnt bullying.

this is constructive criticism.

and he didnt just slip up, he made one hell of a cock up. and carrys on adding to it.

It is bullying, how the hell is calling someone a c**t constructive criticism!?!?

Hes only adding to it because you guys are flaming him and youve got him backed into a corner.

well done, big guy.(y)

Jesus, give the guy a break. Do all you "bullies" feel big behind your keyboards? Yeah he slipped up but FFS find something constructive to do with your lives.

Agreed, he's young, most young guys have "fun" with their cars even if it is irresponsible - all part of growing up, the problem being if you slip up in a car it can have bad consequences! I bet most of the guys laying into him did similar things when they were his age!

That's the reason I posted the Seat Cupra figures above, his times aren't beyond impossible - I reckon mid 6's 0-60 is attainable just from averaging out the power/weight differences between that and a GPS.

I don't see why 140mph for 4 minutes would be such a big deal, I know many guys who regularly blast at 120mph down the motorways in broad daylight. If you were to go down the M60 at 2am I'm sure you could do this with barely any traffic around. I'm not saying he did, just saying there's nothing particularly impossible or impressive about it.

also if you decide to turn asr off and do a full throttle start whilst dropping the clutch your gonna blow your turbo up. Wouldn't recommend doing that...
