Ive got the whole day to myself today. Do I clean my EGR valve as im bored of watching Jeremy Kyle or do I leave it?? Its a 1.9 M-jet 120 15000 miles used mostly for town driving. What you reckon?? Got Lee Punto's excelent guide to follo.

Why not if you got the time, inclination, guide, tools and any gaskets required for re-assembly to hand....

Would it need new gaskets?? or will the old ones refitted cleaned by okay? Ive read some vauxhall forum sites, recomending Wyns carb cleaner, though it seems more simple on the 150 engine

No idea dud I have yet to have the pleasure, but its good practice to fit new gaskets every time when fitted TBH. Which cleaner to use.... hmmm carb cleaner should be OK but I am sure there are folks on here who will tell you whats best. Dont neglect the electrical switchery bit either!
