possible gain of 5-10% in power but possible turbo lag unless you get it remapped for a second time and get augusto at red dot to sort it all out for you. of course theres going to be a gain in performance though.

Not really. Go look at the thread just further down this page. The bloke that had it done didnt get any better gains compared to just having a remap. Will benefit the car more if you are going for big power though.

same here 1.3 mjet, dealer whom i bought it from says its fine , the garage he sends me to says the same, but they already change a piece of the pipe coming from the intercooler because it had an oil leakage
BTW ive been to a BMW garage who says oil in your turbo can result in faster turbo failure...

If done correctly rather than just fitting it with the standard connectors you will get a gain

GSR/Red Dot installed it on the Mjet so im guessing it will of been done properly.

so a bigger intercooler, induction kit, remap doesn't give any gain what so ever? wow. I'm lost for words then... How is it that the current intercooler is the best you can get for it when it's standard? bigger intercooler would mean it's running cooler.. but you know more than anyone on here really so it's a stupid question right?

there is gains to be made.. look at grande bolts thread... with the intercooler and induction kit he made 193hp and could have gone higher but the turbo cant take anymore. Most GPS only make in the early 180's after a map!The gains are generally in torque with an intercooler, but there an more gains that arent just on paper like cooler running temp, turbo longivity from heat soak, etc, etc...

If its been logged when you've take it in to get look at, then if it does go when out of warrenty you could defiently have some come back as the problem was reported earlier even if its only 50/50 expenses, etc.. and make sure you get it serviced at the garage and keep putting it in the notes when it goes in to get services, etc for them to check it out!

Well i saw 3 people who had a bigger better shinier intercooler fitted and had an 8% gain in performance.

Bigger Intercooler + Induction Kit + Remap was upto 203.9bhp @ 279ft-lb torque, 208.7bhp @ 283.6ft-lb torque and the other one was upto 212.3bhp @ 289ft-lb torque.

Where was this at? And any of them on here?

That was in Pontefract @ pontycruise.
