Boot light's stopped working - is this covered by the 3rd year warranty Numan or T.

if its just the bulb then no

mine failed just the bulb it was fine turned out to be a sensor in the door locks so check it all but i wouldve thought even in the 3rd year it would be

If its caused by wiring chafing in the rubber tube its not covered

As has been said, a blown bulb or wiring isn't covered. A faulty boot catch should be (if the microswitch has failed, which isn't unheard of).

Same thing happen to my boot light two months ago. Before it would flashes on n off sometime. But now just won't come on even with a new bulb put in.
My second service is due in April so will get them to look into it.

It's going in on friday afternoon for Desira, Southgate to take a look.
They said they've had a few microswitches fail which is part of the boot lock.
Anyways they said they'd fix it for me for no charge - trouble is I'm kind of friendly with them all there so I'm not sure if it's covered or they're doing me a favor.
I'll post the outcome soon.

Yep microswitch seems to be a little tinker in this catch and will either fail completely or stay in the boot open position, leaving the light on. Boot catch is covered under third year warranty like T says.

Thank you for replying and explaining what the fault is 'NumanR'.
So I guess I'll find out whether You can just replace the microswitch or whether a whole new lock needs to be ordered.......and I think I just might be able to guess the answer......!!
