hi
i amputting my punto 06 plate in next week to get brakes done-
and since we got car last year the rear doors can only be opened by holding the rear end of the handle and lifting upwards- got to have the knack to open it.
anyway this isnt covered by warranty as my car is 06 plate or is it?????
also how much will it cost to fix?? as if its too pricey i'm sure i can live with it

i belive its a stanard problem, check the sticky thread at the top of the forum, sure its detailed in there and its a pretty quick fix at the dealers not sure if its covered under 3 year warranty though

Mine were really sticky, I didnt notice it until a service tech opened the rear door and said so! He said its a common problem and that it needed fixing. And they did it.

how do you know this?
as when i phoned up and mentioned it i was told by the service assistant that it wasnt included
-anyway that i can prove it??

In a way they're right, as Service bulletin's/mods are not covered. But we've had no problem claiming under 3rd Year for handles due to manufacturing defects/breakages. ;)

My sister got hers done under the 3rd year warranty. The dealer sprayed up 2 new handles and fitted them to both back doors - it had been in twice before for modifications until they finally admitted it needed new ones.

what is covered in 3rd year warranty???

as the title says what is exactly covered by 3rd year dealer warranty as the posts on this forum tend to end with 'not covered by dealer 3rd year warannty...'
cheers
