After about five trips to my Fiat garage in Colchester since last summer, it appears that finally my leaky tailgate no longer leaks!! (Fingers crossed).
In the end the garage had my GPS for four days whilst it was resealed around the whole of the welding seam and finally ended up being in the bodyshop. (I think the bodyshop only became necessary as the previous week they had the car to do the job and someone who had obviously never used silicone before, or who just didn't care, totally botched it up. When I refused to accept the job, it took them four days to remove the silicone and start again).
However, I am pleased to say that over the past month since I've had her back, and after a few downpours of rain since, so far there is no sign of any water getting into the tailgate. I'm so relieved. Just hope it stays this way!!
