Strips come off very easily and do not leave any marks! Just literally pull them off and if they do not come off then use a credit card and some hot water to soften the glue.

Try some £4 Blue headlight bulbs from Lidl and change the indicator builbs if you haven't already. The Cupra splitter is only £20 as well which is quite cheap.

Sorry to hear about your job, someone was made redundant at my workplace too, nerve-wracking really.

As far as I know as well they just peel off and are glued on, I did this to my mark one, got a hairdryer and just gently warmed them so when you peel it off most of the glue comes off with the strip, you'll need something blunt to get you started to prise the end up.

I have to agree with spraying your grill black, what about tinting your rear lights (can be done pretty cheap or units already done brought off ebay). Flat wipers if you dont' have them?

yeah saving money is a good option although i just sold my project khan wheels for a tidy sum of money. in adfdition will putting arbarth lights on change my insurance or warrenty

Shouldnt do they are only a set of headlights. Still a standard fiat part. Just have to ask the insurance repairer it goes into to order the abarth lights again if you have a front ender as they will get replaced with standard units.
