I have a knocking sound, that sounds like it is coming from the rear left of the vehicle. Looking through the forum it looks like it is must liely to be the drop links.

I am in my final month of warranty so obviously need to take it is to get sorted before the 3rd year is up (I am presuming it is covered by the third year?)

If I continue to drive the car will I further damage it?

Always advisable to get it done ASAP and component(s) will be covered by 3rd year (obviously depending what it actually is)

I also have some sound that is coming from the rear left seat but only when somebody is sitting on the back seat,when I am driving alone there are no sounds.

T14068 - What does the 3rd year cover?? and how does the 5 yr cover work ?? i have a gp 2 with the 5 yr cover but not sure what it covers?

As for the noise on the rear my old 06 plate only made a noise when someone was sat in the rear left, but when i put it up on the ramp in work, one of the handbrake cables had popped out of its mountin, so when someone was sat in back it used to knock going over a bump. and they dont have drop links on bak i dont think ? only on front which are common for going anyway

Its very strange,when I am driving alone there are no sounds,when somebody is sitting on front seat there are sounds, three in car sound over bumps.Third person is always sitting behind codriver.

it like a clicking noise?

Sound like black shelf that is over trunk is not fixed.

basically main components, some electrics but not wiring or trim (inside or out)

Same noise as ive got, like plastic panels moving about over bumps/uneven ground. I think it is the shelf side supports doing it, going to take them out and go for a drive to see what happens.

My noise sounds like it comes from the rear wheel arch, only happens on big humps, and when I take them (very) slowly there is no sound at all. It is a dull kocking noise, sort of two toned kind of like....duh duh

I drove this morning alone and there were not any noise after that my friends set on front seats and we start driving, I set on back seat and remove shelf and everything from trunk, and I think that the noise is not coming from plastic parts ,it comes from left wheel and the sound is like tack tack tack.

i had my car on ramp yesterday and never saw any drop links, what we used to have problems with on the 188 puntos was the shockers used to knock ?? we used to take the shockers off and drive it down the road wi just the springs attacthed. not reccommended tho. but just try moving the rear shockers and see if they have excessive movment

top rear shock mounts often need lubricating.

Check exhaust mounts aswell etc

from the front ?? possibly the shocker at the front, common for snapping, mine snapped on my 07 plate and my friend who lives round corner from me, hers has snapped im changing it next week

Shock or Spring? Heard of some Springs breaking but not Shox...

I've had both springs and drop links replaced under 3rd year warrenty the car handles better than ever now
