Hi all,

my seatbelt holders rattle like crazy whenever you go over a bump (with the seatbelts clipped in). Doesn't happen if the seatbelt is in the holder at a certain angle ie, fat person in seat, or seat pushed far forward.

Does anyone else have this problem? It's both the passenger and drivers side that does it. It's doing my head in, but can't be bothered with Fiat saying they can't do anything about it... any idea's?

something must be loose inside it... id say open it but springs would probably fly everywhere! lol

haha yeah, i'd be finding bits for weeks

It didn't rattle when i was in the car with you

As tris says the buckle and clip rattle when the belt is "loose" on his mine doesn't

looks like its a Fiat jobby :(

I've got something like this happening at the back to from the seat belts. Sounds like the seat belt locking, you know when you stop hardish. Drives me mental.

goodmorning my friend. my bach seatbelt from the co-drivers side couldn;t fastened. i took the decision to open it and see inside. if you try to open it note that you should do it from the bottom of the plastic cover.if you go from the top it will look ugly because you will have to use a screwdriver or something similar and will create scratches and cuts to the cover.anyway it is bolted by 3 melted plastic trims inside.two above and one on top. you will see that inside there is no obvious screws.fiat can replace the whole unit for you but i don't understand why they don't.if you have warranty it's unacceptable.anyway i found a rubber that had fallen inside and was preventing the belt to fasten.i removed it ,glue it back and all was ok.what don't pure any grease or wd40 inside as i think it might damage the belts sensor.try to poor a little of connector cleaner(pure not with oil)and see if that helps a bit.anyway goodluck:)

I've got this problem - it's a complete pain in the arse! Always rattles when it's clipped in - to the point before when the belt unclipped from the holder, which now seems OK as it only happened once....

I've been putting off going to Fiat but I really think it may have to be a trip down there!

that's what i'm thinking... oh well... going to have go back there anyway by the looks of things :(

My car went in, they checked it, ordered the part, waited for the part to come in stock, went in about a week later for some other work. and the garage forgot about the seat belt fastener. I went to pick the car up and mentioned it and the part had come in, they asked if I was ok to wait an hour so I did! and it was done after an hour.
