Re: would a remap be worth it on a 1.4 8v . "NEWBIE" pls help!!
I agree with this 100%, sometimes the maybe a thread based on the same topic but not always relevant to your question and you may not find the answer your looking for...having been a member of serveral car forums i have to say this is the worst for the problem in hand.
More often than not i've seen threads with some hostile response about "use the search" rather than helpfull advice.
Seriously!
If you keep saying this, and 'Use the search' in every thread that is getting created here then you are going to put people off posting! You post a lot of helpful advice for people and are a great resource for the forum; why ruin that good image by being elitist and trying to belittle anyone who posts a previously discussed issue.
Perhaps there are a few new members that have joined since the last thread was created, ever thought of that? They may want to offer new advice that cannot be found in the 'Search Results'. Not to mention that the original question in this thread is answered by giving an opinion i.e. there is no right or wrong answer and therefore a discussion should be allowed to develop, regardless of what threads have gone before it.
Can I just ask, what is the big problem with creating a new thread on the same subject: what harm is it doing? There is only so many areas you can cover in relation to the Grande Punto before you start repeating things. Going by your logic, we shouldn't allow any more threads on Remaps, Vinyls, Leather Interior, New Alloys, Suspension etc. as these have all been previously discussed. So what new threads do we make? What is left to talk about without us being given hassle?
Do you want to kill this forum? I know it's one of the reasons I stopped posting here with as much frequency, still love my Grande as much as I did, just hate the fact I have to read the same thing being posted in every thread - just let a discussion take place!
I await your reply. Or maybe I should 'Do a search' and see if my question has been previously asked!
