Dual action most likely. You wont burn through the paintwork it takes quite a bit to go through it. If you dont trust yourself just go to a scrappy and pick up a couple of panels to practise on

I Think il be giving her a new Alpine head unit :yum:.... as im fed up of CD's and the Blue&Me IPOD only let me have mp3 tracks not mp4 which is most of my IPOD and non of my playlists! Anyone Know whats with that?

yeah it sucks... i had to convert pretty much all of my itunes to mp3 from aac took me ages!

I love my Alpine Head Unit

Blue and Me is pretty good though... wouldnt want to lose that functionality by switching head units- even if the new headunit has bluetooth!

Just let iTunes do it all for you, set it away when you go to bed and it will be finished when you wake up.

i did that... but when it hits the protected mpf files it stops and displays an error message! so had to do it album by album... but instead i chose to only update my ipod to a certain playlist and just convert the 500 or so tracks in there rather than the full 6000 lol

As i started this, how adsactly do you change your music to MP3?

also i went to car electronics and the alpine head units have steering fuctions and also the bluetooth so all is needed is some kind of bluetooth like which is 20quid and you have no issuse (Apparently)

if you go to 'preferences' in itunes, and then select the mp3 encoder, you can then right click on a track and select 'create an mp3 version' or something along those lines. You can obviously select as many as you want to do at a time... but you cant convert protected mp4 files

Its about £80 for the bluetooth extra for alpines. Its cmpletely seperate to the grandes blue and me.

that's pretty hefty! isn't it like £50 for the lead to make your steering wheel controls work aswell?

Yup but thats the same for any headunit that is compatable with steering wheel controls.

I dont understand whats so wrong with the standard unit with the Sporting Theres not really much else you could add apart from an Aux in, but who uses them
