My door lock broke on the drivers side so I replaced the locking mechanism, there is a cable that runs to the internal handle, on the end of that cable the is a bend which goes into the handle. But there needs to be a clip that the bend goes into so its secure to the handle! The clip has 4 claws which holds in place, well I broke 2 of them :bang:. So I rang my local dealer 'Stoneacre Wrexham' and the guy didnt have a clue what I was on about, so I went down and showed him the clip, I explained to him 'like I was explaining it to a child' which part it was from, in the end he got it!... He said it will have to be ordered with the handle which is £26, but I dont need a handle just the clip! So he said he will ring Fiat to find out, So I went to the scrap yard to see if any Fiat's they had there would do it, but the only had the MK1 Puntos, and they were too small, and a Bravo with its doors missing, But the guy rung me back to confirm that I needed to order a handle, so I thought bugger ill jsut get one. But some one else served me and he said hang on, came back with a clip, looked the same, so I got that for all of 38p, got home tried it doesnt fit... so I thought Ill get the passanger side, exactly the same as the clip as that guy got me (which was of a citroen)... bugger!... So now im still having to open my window to let myself out until I get this tiny clip to fit back on my handle... but if anyone breaks their lock than Id recommend taking your bloody time, cause this has just me more hassle than anything else on my car! Looks like im having to pay £26 for the bloody thing!

Shame to hear it mate, that's ridiculously over priced! But that is the price you pay for Italian super power!

what was wrong with the boot lock lee full of water?
No, the guy that tinted my rear window put the lock on see he didnt have to open the boot all the time whilst tinting it, but when he was finished he closed it but it didnt close, so he kind of slammed it and realised he had the lock on and when I got home he smashed the internal arm that tells the computer thats closed to bits! tit!
How did the little clip break?

trying to get it out of the door handle so I could replace the locking mechanism... flimsy plastic and big fingers aint a good combination!! :p

I'd have to agree that its on the handle :(

I'll make sure we dont have an old handle knocking about tomorrow!

Lee I haven't forgot you, just not been in the office this week. You Abarth lights are there and ready too :)

Awesome :slayer:, hopefully ill be ready to order everything tomorrow, how long do you reckon the bumper will take to come up?.... (y)

I'd expect to see it within 2 days if its in the UK or 5-7 from Italy.

I'm out with customers most of tomorrow but my guys are well aware of what you are doing :)

what are the plans for the bumper etc? do you want me to try and price up a courier?

Well if you know of any decent couriers who charge a fair price let me know!

Naturally what a courier charges is what you'll pay mate. I wouldn't charge any extra for packaging etc

this may be a common fault as my colleague at work is having the same prob - she has to open the window to open her door from the outside
