Hi,
looking to upgrade my brakes...fancy some of those stancy brembos. The question is will they fit? Where do i get them from etc?!
Cheers

lots of threads covered that up. i have looked to that matter thourogly. you will need an adaptor to fit. 400 euros only the caliber.800 for the two and that is without the adaptors hoses and other stuff. in my opinion, use the mito's. they are 4 pot while abarths are 2 pot.
to tell you the truth for the amount of money that they cost i think it is a better option to buy an after market solution from brembo ,tarox,g2 etch..
but anyway you go you still will gain in braking performance and looks.

Thanks very much for your comments. They do seem very pricy! after market seems the way to go. do you think i would have to change from the standard wheels if i fitted an aftermarket brembo system? Basically would the callipers be too large to fit the sporting wheels on?
Cheers

They will fit. Complete overkill on a NA 1.4 though imo. Id just get uprated disc's and pads tbh.

New discs and pads arent really going to make a noticable difference, its just different materials at the end of the day, you would really need new and uprated calipers to see a difference. IMO. But yeah, abarth ones could be a very very pricey way of doing it. better getting down to red dot or something.

mate a recent study from me and my mechanic showed this. bigger discs and pads will not make a difference on a gps. that is because to run those bigger brakes you will need to change the brake fluid bump. a pare of uprated pads and discs and hoses with very good fluids will transform your brakes. it will be a massive improvement over the standard ones. i know because i once had installed to my gps a carrera 4 pot brakes from brembo with 300mm discs. better braking but not a massive ''g'' of force. then i experimented with the stock ones with all the above. it just did the trick. i don't know for other cars but the gps ''reacts'' much better with pads, hoses and fluids.
current brake i have are the replaced calibers from a mjet 284mm(the 95 version hat 257..) gront brakes only, with the pads and hoses. the fluid i used is the motul 4.1
even better.it feels like your guts will exploid ever time you brake.
know as for the abarths i don't know.
the only after market that have massive braking force with 100% compatibility are the g2 with 330 mm 8 pot calibers.(y)

also note that a total brake replacement might require an abs reprogramming. not always though.
