Technical Upgrade Bulbs

Just bought a set of the Lidl blues for £3.99 and will try them tomorrow, if they are naff will be taking them back and replacing them with a +50% set of whites. :D

Hope they are easy to get in and out of a 1.4 or else its:bang:

I believe it's not too bad if your hands are smaller than an average four year olds, otherwise......

Well got the Lidl Blues fitted yesterday and the difference is amazing compared to the Fiat bulbs, (y) much brighter and a nice crisp light. Getting another set today, for spares.
Only took five minutes tops to fit them :)

thats good to know i need to fit mine. how the hell are you meant to change them? my hand doesnt fit.

There must be plenty of space in a 1.2? I changed mine today. Have the cuts on my hands to show it :p it's a real tight squeeze for the right hand side one. Getting the final side of the clip in is a real pain. Just dont get frustrated and take your time :)

aye there is lots of room in the 1.2's bay.

i presume from when i had a look that iit is behind the large rubber grommet which when removed leaves about a 4"diameter hole. my hand wont fit sadly.:bang:

will go and have another look though. thanks. :)

You dont stick your hand in the hole. Just your fingers... Just look/ feel for the metal clip and push. It will pop off and loosen the bulb. Then just remove the blub...

The difference between fitting headlamp bulb in GP compared with stilo is amazing. GP - 5 mins, stilo - 5 hrs later, plenty of swearing and cuts on hands, but plenty of cups of tea though from wifey.. :D

Excellent job from fiat for actually making the headlamps accessible (y)

wouldn't like to have a bulb go at midnight in the countryside  be morning b4 you would get home

I'd give up and tape my breakdown torch to the bonnet:devil:

Lidl bulbs are ridiculous value for money. I had halfords +50's in my MK1 Punto and they made a big difference.

Holding out for the Philips +80's this time:D Roll on pay day.

Hi just thought I would add to the thread as I have just fitted some Osram Nightbreakers. They are great much brighter and noticably whiter, great for the £13 i paid, here are some pics
