I am just courious as to where the limiter is on 1.2 GP as there is no redline on the dash? Not that I am going to hit it or anything just would like to know how close it is.

Ty

Oh right thought it was over 6k. Is that a fact or have you seen it done?

Thanks.

Just to get a comparsion wheres the limiter and red line start on a Tjet or 1.4?

Nah I've never hit that high. I haven't even been above 6k, most of my driving is done upto 4-5k no more. Just wondered how much more juice Fiat would allow. :p

Thanks for the info guys.

Think i hit about 5.5 - 6k every drive, never any higher as it dont have much over that, i do all city driving so lots of traffic lights and roundabouts, the 1.2 needs a caneing for which it delivers very nicely up to about 50-60.

Can't believe some of you guys are really hacking your 1.2's, fair enough I guess as it is quite slow. Highest I've had was 5.8k in 1st wheelspinning round a corner up a hill :D

Hmm yeah, I never drive mine hard till its fully warmed up, even when the temp needle hits optimum its still not fully warm (you can tell as the instant mpg is lower than it should be).

do t-jets have a rev limiter

Pretty certain all modern cars have a rev limiter these days and it shouldnt do any harm hitting it. (it limits the revs at that point for a reason). Its 'healthly' to rev a modern engine to within an inch of its life every now and again anyway!

My mjet gets revved pretty hard everyday! (not to the limiter though as its stops producing power well before the 4500rpm redline!)
