Hey, This is my first post, and i couldn't find a thread about this, if there is already one, I'm sorry but...

does anyone know the maximum size alloy you can fit to a Grande Punto?

i currently have 15" but saw some nice 18" and wondered if they'd fit without hitting the bodywork?

Thanks :)

18" alloy's and 40mm of lowering to look nice

ok i know this has been descussed but sticking 18's on will throw out the speedo right? .... i have read through some of the posts and a lot of them say the wheels r the same size as for example 16's have a larger tire wall than on 17's .... however my mate has 16's and i have 17's and mine r clearly bigger.... so therefore putting 18's on will throw your speedo out right?....

theres a good pic i found on someones profile to show this... the tire walls r the same size

If you use the right profile the speedo should stay about right.

The reason why yours look bigger is that car with the 16's is calibrated for the size tyre it has on.

Different car different rules. C2 is built to have 16" wheels on it, GP can have anywhere between 15-17s. 15s come with a big tyre on meaning it is the same rolling radius as a 17" and tyre. If you put a 18" wheel on you will take the tyre down a couple of profiles to either a 40 or a 35 to keep the same rolling radius. If you go bigger than you go down to a 30 and will probably put the speedo out slightly aswell

that's about 0.6% of the actual speed!

(by speedo you mean speedometer and not swimming trunks right?)

The GPS was that high before it was lowered?!

lol, it makes a serious difference mate, like mahooooooooosive! you'll love them! :D

Tell your mate to lower his car and get some OZ Superturismo's in white or some decent replica's...CITuning (sh*tuning) do some and they aint bad quality at all...like 60 quid a rim and they transform the look of the car, looks awesome imo :D
