This may have been asked before but im struggling to find any aftermarket brake upgrades for the GPS.

I dont really fancy changing the Calipers, just a simple disc and pad upgrade. I done this on my old C2 GT and it made a good improvement, so just looking to sharpen up the brakes a little bit. Has anyone done this? or could recommend a place to try....

Is it necessary to upgrade discs and pads or just the pads? I'm likely to buy some "fast road" pads for my T-Jet. The brakes are pretty strong, in my opinion, but fade is an issue. I'm doing a trackday at the end of November (see other thread) but want to upgrade from standard pads to something like Greenstuff or other fast road pads. Had them before and they make a fair difference when you press on - much less resistant to fade.

Mind you - upgraded discs and pads on two previous cars (turbo'd and supercharged MX5's) to drilled and grooved discs with Greenstuff pads. Almost made your eyes pop out, they were that strong :D

Maxtorq Group N disc's are supposedly the disc's that survive longest on track days I did have a set of these on my Turbo but was never that thrilled with them on the road so I swapped them out for Tarox Sport Japan drilled and grooved ones.

The problem with pads that work really well on the track is quite often they are not as good as std pads on the road as they never reach full operating temperature in daily driving. If i were you and you were planning on going on the track on a regular basis I'd buy a set of disc's and pads just for this purpose and swap them around before and after the event. and would go for group N disc's and something like red stuff pads

if you don't plan to throw pore juice to the car then the following upgrade will be the thing for you. brake fluids (motul 4.1), goodritch hoses, tarox or brembo disks and texter pads.that shall transform your braking into anker!:)
