Technical 1ST 2ND noise

Its an 07 plate, with just under 9000 miles, it seems to have been doing it since 8000 though.

Yeah and its not been driven hard really. Have just had it slammed on Sportlines mind.

Lets just hope mines not

I don't think it is. I'm pretty sure the noise started before I put the Eibachs on.

If it's the fault I'm thinking of, then unless there's damage to the centre bearing, it may not need replacing. We've had two 1.9mjets with this fault, and both were new or low mileage. We consulted Fiat Technical and carried out an agreed mod which fixed both cars. ;)

OCZedd- If your car is the 1.2 engined Grande in your sig, then it won't be the same fault as they don't use a centre driveshaft/bearing assembly.

It isn't an official Service Bulletin (but then again the fault seems quite rare anyway), but if they speak to Technical they can find out the info. It's possible Fiat have modified the bearings during production anyway.

I have returned from the garage. The part which is required is on back order so am waiting for a call from the garage so I can then get it booked in to have it replaced. This link shows the noise if you listen carefully. It is like a wa wa wa noise.

Difficult to tell whether its the same noise as mine. As mine doesn't do it all the time and only if the revs are fairly constant for 2 secs or more.

Oh right, yeah it is mine (y) well then thats good to know. But I wonder what mine could be unless its meant to be like that.

There must still be bearings on mine though
