hi to all gps gurus. i just read a car magazine and they are grading 15 small hatchbacks. now, here we go. the gps scored ,according to them, 4 out of 10 in the design section while the vw polo scored 7.5 and even more rediculus the alfa mito got a 9,1.
are they insane, blind or they just don't want to admit tha fiat made the best small looking car?
well i must admit though that the new fiesta is mind blowing beautiful.
your comments?

PMSL no comment.... what would the :tosser: car mags know about style and class? The Fiesta owes its looks to the Ford spies who checked out the GP in early life, otherwise it would have looked like a mini Mondeo!

Wow just goes to show what is wrong with those car mags.

4 out of 10 thats so low you just know they are lying, if it were maybe 7-8 you can understand, but yeah its the best looking small hatch by far. And Ford completely copied the GP design, pisses my off when compaines all copy each other.

In fact I am so happy how good my GP (or any GP) looks that if someone were to say to me it doesn't look good, I blatenly know they are lying and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest, because it genuinely does look stunning in the design department. :)

Its like when someone does say something negative about your shoes, or clothes and you can sort of agree with them inside, but you won't admit it, its not like this on the GP I genuinely on the inside wouldn't/can't agree.

Also the polo got a 7.5! My sister has a new polo and everyone says its a nice little car and I agree (not bad for the money either). Until I show them a comparsion shot with it next to my GP then it looks like a toy :yum:

Yeah thats madness. Jeremy Clarckson had one for a while test drving it and he liked it (had some faults, but understandable ones). BUT he said he would love to keep it just because it looked so good parked in his driveway. and you can imagine what cars he has/had in his driveway!

its on their website somewhere(y) yeah i was looking at it from a "new" angle yesterday sort of 4'oclock and the windows just looked ace and the lines, yeah it really is good. the ONLY quibble i have is that i think the GPS should have been fitted with 18's, the wheels look small in the arches for 17's

i am sure it is planned because it is so low.i emailed them and the answer was somewhat prepayed. ''we don't like the gp as much as the polo and the corsa.is something to be complaining about?didn't you see the section in we clearly say that all grades are objective?''
earlier this year the same mag published that the bravo is a dangerous car and they patronised the public not to buy it because of a brake failure.
i guess now they have in their target the gp.
and the other thing. they have a comparison with the mito and mini. guess what. mini 10/10 mito 9.1(like the ,1 thing)/10
road quality mini 8.5/10
mito 6/10
handling mini 9/10
mito 9/10
grabbing mini 10/10
mito 9/10
overall quality. this is outrageus(don't know spelling).

mini 10/10
mito 7/10. clearly the mito cannot leave behind the italian haunted past being only a click above the cheap plastics of the brother model gp.(n)

they are for crap!(the magazine i mean)

the mag is called autoweek and it is in my local area publishing. this is delivered to us every thursday and goes to almost 400.000 people.

:D FIAT need to increase the size of the wedge they bung these Motormags.

Or maybe its cos they dont give out backhanders that they get rated so lowly.

Mito is still young, but Mini is surfing the perceived BMW "quality" wave.

I have heard of rear suspension arms breaking on Mini's... where is that in the Press...? Its a "known problem" apparently, causes loss of control due to the rear wheel splaying out and off track, but even after paying a premium price for a Mini BMW are treating complainants with disdain and ignoring them.

I think Minis are THE most overly priced car you can possible buy, and hell they dont have the original charm of the first one so they look seriously old now anyway, totally dated. i would have my GP anyday over a mini anyday, and its half the price to boot!!:D

If everyone liked the GP there wouldnt be any other cars on the road. You are just reading and taking on board the views of whoever wrote the article, its not a fact just an opinion that you disagree with. You may think the GP is the best car in the world right now but one day you WILL loose interest, get bored with it and go off and buy something else instead :D

People are different, learn to live with it.

The Fiesta owes its looks to the Ford spies who checked out the GP in early life, otherwise it would have looked like a mini Mondeo!

In my opinion a lot of cars on the road now owe their looks to Fiat. When Fiat launched the M1 Punto on the 'L' plate (about 1994?), it was one of the first cars (if not THE first) to put its rear lights high up the sides of the car - an unuual look at the time. Since then many car manufacturers have copied this idea (Ford Focus & Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa etc.).

If you read back through over 100 years of the Fiat history they were the first to come up with many ideas and new concepts. There are people out there who are quick to slate Fiat cars, and yes us Fiat owners who do the same at times, but at the end of the day we still continue to love them.

Like most of you I definately think the GP is the best looking small car out there at the moment.:)
