whens the best time to do an oil change, my mjet has jus about covered 6500 miles from new and think it would be a good idea to do an oil and filter change? no service is due until next july unless i hit 20k before i think, just wondering whether people had oil changes about this time?

Good idea - I do an oil change every 5,000 miles and it makes a real difference.

Hey if you do it yourself like i did over the weekend prepare for an exciting time, as someone has kindly put the oil filter cover so high up that you need to be stretch armstrong to get to it.

It's probably just as difficult to get to on a ramp as it is from laying under the car on axel stands too.

PS seems like you can only get the filter from Fiat at the moment, none of the big factors/distributors in blackburn could get hold of the part. Though it is listed in the Mann catalogue, who funnily make them for fiat. (one of two brands)
