oh ffoxy in response to your question it doesn't affect driving

Not my words but taken from here :-

http://www.dyspraxiafoundation.org.uk/services/ad_symptoms.php

This is a very smuch shortened but I am assuming your Dyspraxia is not exhibiting the symptoms related to driving (pretty much half)

Symptoms
People who have dyspraxia often find the routine tasks of daily life such as driving, household chores, cooking and grooming difficult. They can also find coping at work is hard. People with dyspraxia usually have a combination of problems, including:

Gross motor co-ordination skills (large movements):
Poor balance. Difficulty in riding a bicycle, going up and down hills
Poor posture and fatigue. Difficulty in standing for a long time as a result of weak muscle tone. Floppy, unstable round the joints. Some people with dyspraxia may have flat feet
Poor integration of the two sides of the body. Difficulty with some sports involving jumping and cycling
Poor hand-eye co-ordination. Difficulty with team sports especially those which involve catching a ball and batting. Difficulties with driving a car
Lack of rhythm when dancing, doing aerobics
Clumsy gait and movement. Difficulty changing direction, stopping and starting actions
Exaggerated 'accessory movements' such as flapping arms when running
Tendency to fall, trip, bump into things and people
Fine motor co-ordination skills (small movements):

Sure you dont, youre a 17 year old micheal schumacher aren't you, the sooner you have an accident to slap some sense into you the better.

Sounds a mite convenient TBH Carl "Rolf"... driving is right up there as a main issue, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt there, does explain why you cant work and why you had the wee car bought for you etc...

Still doesnt explain fully why you think you know more than all the rest of us on here who have been driving and earning and buying stuff for loads of years tho.... If I were you, as many have said, limit what you spend on the wee 1.2 and wait a bit, see how you get along, then replace the 1.2 with a 1.4 (or 1.9 (y) ) and develop that into a useful and rewarding tool. :D

The 1.2 does the same job as a 1.4 or 1.9 it gets you from A to B and can handle the speed limits quite fine. Its the same good looking car but with alot less acceleration. Its not all about the engine size.
Making a 1.2 look better is not silly or a waste of time!
It is a waste of time to try get more performance out of it though as its not worth it.

i dont know what you will all make of this but the whole reason i joined the forum in the first place is because you all without being rude, have been around the block a bit and have tryed most the things i have been thinking of and i have found most of your responses really quite helpful.

which is why i have now ruled out quite a few of the things i listed previously.e.g Full Rieger Tuning bodykit, Purple brake calipers, KEI kruze gloss black, Wolfrace pro lite polished and black, Konig runaway black, Enkei FN-18 gunmetal, I would have black leather cobra daytona front seats and get the rest of the interior re trimmed by cobra to match, Blaupunkt replacements for all speakers, Blue interior light and Dying the headliner black.

also about all the mummys boy scrounging comments etc my dad has pretty much no qualifications but works his arse off and has probably worked on some of the forums members stuff and makes little profit. whilst my mum works her arse off sometimes doing upto a 150hr week and the only reason i get anything like a car is to teach me how to look after my things so i make better judgements on things e.g i dont get anything like video games i get £100 a month of her to use on these kind of things or to save. and i usually opt to save instead of spend.

also dont try and tell me im a mummys boy when i commonly spend upto £500 of the money she gives me to spend on myself, on one birthday present for my mum.

of those of you who are students or dont have a job how many of you do that?

and smally is right also the lack of acceleration is why i have this car that and the economy. also im not interseted in increasing the performance i just find the engine particularly quiet and would like to hear some of it.

re: opions on my ideas and some inspiration/more ideas please (BORING WTF THREAD ALERT!)

i am not saying im an excellent driver far from it but my driving instructor tells me he thinks im a good driver other than being heavy footed and having road rage.

re: opions on my ideas and some inspiration/more ideas please (BORING WTF THREAD ALERT!)

So 2 of the main factors that contribute to being a bad driver then

re: opions on my ideas and some inspiration/more ideas please (BORING WTF THREAD ALERT!)

End of the day Carl, people jump down your throat when you mention alot of work being done to a car, but some people just are genuinely are helping, and yes some people take the ****. End of the day mate do want YOU want to do. If you want help with stuff just ask with or without sarcy comments. Oh and you said your mum works 150 hr weeks when there only 168 in a week... I dont think thats physically possible! lol anyway good luck in what you do but be careful also. Just remember police are all over new drivers with a done up car cause they thrive on it, no matter where you live. Take care (y)

and i may have exaggerated a bit on her hours but its still a lot.

which is why she can afford to buy me a car in the first place

Tell your mum to calm down on the hours. You only live once.

Oh, and keep up the good banter.:slayer:

I got my sums a bit wrong she actually does on average a 55hr week. Sorry for the confusion.

re: opions on my ideas and some inspiration/more ideas please (BORING WTF THREAD ALERT!)

you may all be pleased to know i have decided to trust you all on this and wait untill i get a bigger engine but in the mean time im going to go for some mods i can tranfer over to a bigger engined grande punto when i replace the car in probably about 3-4 years time. for example: some 16" mak volares, and a lead to play my ipod through the standard head unit.

i may still go for tinted windows, either gsr induction kit or full stainless stell exhaust and abarth or black angel eye headlights.

does that sound a bit more sensible?

thoughts and opinions welcome.

i dont have a problem with anyone on this forum andwont have a dig at anyone for anything so i hope those who have a problem with me would either be kind enough to keep it to themselves or if it is something i can change or do something about tell me.

thankyou for reading. :)

re: opions on my ideas and some inspiration/more ideas please (BORING WTF THREAD ALERT!)

I would go for 17" inch rims
Also add a seat cupra r splitter onto the list, vinyl the front (if its not a black car) and spray top grille black, these are cheap and easy mods to do/have done.
