I wish you well but you were correct in an earlier Post when you said you are a little naive, the nitro model motors are 2 strokes but thats where the similarity ends, no turbo or EGR, ECU, AFM, crank sensors..... the list goes on and all require proper diagnostic ability.

Tea leaves operate in all areas particularly the better off areas as thats where the richest pickings are you know?

Anyway nuff said....

@ffoxy the mechanical parts are the same its the electrics that are different.

and i understand about the theives thing but 1 burglary in ten years in my neighborhood an that was only a wooden shed with no lock and they took a broken lawnmower. lol plus most of the cops live here and patrol a lot as the neighborhood is mostly full of elderly people.

re: The Carl "Rolf" Dawson thread

  1. I cant do the retrimming my self as im **** at sewing.
  2. I could do wiring and gsr but i have very little patience so would pay to have gsr fitted and my dad would do the wiring (as he is an electrician to be more precise he fixes pretty much anything electrical)
also thats a bit harsh ok i got carried away

sorry:(

re: The Carl "Rolf" Dawson thread

im 17 and have lead feet so all though my parents would buy me one with a bigger engine and insure it they dont want me to lose my license when i only currently have a provisional also i dont like diesels they are two easy to drive as well as giving you all the power in one go instead of gradually like a petrol.

the gsr, exhaust, rims, exterior mods etc will make your insurance more than a tjet... :p trust me i know

re: The Carl "Rolf" Dawson thread

i seriously wouldnt bother, after a little while you will want more power but you wont be able to sell your car cos its cost so much, how are you affording this car at 17, please dont say finance, so stupid thing to do.

id buy a 56 plate 1.4 16v sporting, and leave it standard.

well i wouldnt :p cos there too slow, but its better than the 1.2.

re: The Carl "Rolf" Dawson thread

I had mine on finance and what a drag that was... but im modifying my car cause im keeping it for about another 18 months to 2 yrs. If I had a 1.2 id put 16" on it and the little mods like window tinting, rear lights, lowered thats about it.... but really you cant stop someone doing stuff to their car if they have their heart set on it.... well until the engine packs up beacuse of the stress its under but when that happens, then your screwed! lol
