Hey guys ordered mine today, black wanted the upgraded wheels but Iwas looking at 6-8 week wait. I am getting this car in 2 weeks. I have driven the Ounto 1.4 sporting, and the Bravo 1.4 T-Jet, but not the Punto T-Jet. Some info on what the car is like would be great, I have read loads of reviews but there is nothing better than advice from the actual owners themselves. The car is in Crossover-black-17inch wheels ect. How is the Build quality? How is the equipment? How is the fuel economy? drive? power delivery? handling? everything and anything I need to know basically? Any common faults ect?
Cheers guys.

everything is top notch buddy i have the same car in the same colour theres more power there than i expected really pins you back in your seat its my 1st fiat and im very impressed with it puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it

Had mine a couple fo months or so and so far really pleased with it, build quality is better than other Fiats I have owned.

Coulple of very minor problems so far, worth a check when you get yours.

1. Seat belt anchors, rattle while you are driving and can be annoying, if you hold the outer casing you can feel this too. I only noticed it on the passenger side and they replace dit under warranty, that cured it, I then noticed the drivers one was doing it too so they are going to replace that one for me.

2. Check and lower your back seats and then check that they lock back into place, mine didnt and have had to be adjusted.

3. Check closing of glove box lid.

4. Check for any scratches on the coating of the dash board.

Fuel economy at present I think is poor. If I rag it then I expect it to be low, but driving sensibly it still only returns about 37.8 mpg. Drive it hard and that drops to around 32mpg on average.

Great car though, you will love it.

This is my first Fiat and im glad I got the punto... ( close to buying a Stilo ) I got the 1.9JTD Sporting and man it shifts... like to rip apart the wan*ers in their *****y done up little 106's, saxo's and spaky corsa's.... Mwahaha  I love it... ( sorry had to get it out of my system )

I bought it from JJ motors in Bridgend! How much did you guys pay for yours? I paid £10,200, is that any good? seemed fair to me at £3000 off list price. I am going from a 205bhp 172cup :( it will be missed big time but I am looking forward to my punto experience, I think the car looks stunning.
Silly insurance prices, Tax going up to £270 and 32mpg driving sensible has made me sell up, not to mention the £1600 I have paid out in repairs over the past 6 months :(, awesome car though.

You will love the Grande Punto... but dont ruin it mate.... trust me... these people will hunt you down and kill you.... lol Post pics when you get it mate love to see it (y)

My previous 205gti returned 38mpg, my 172,182,172cup could return 40mpg if driven to every single speed limit, My 197cup on the other hand was quoted at 33.1mpg I never saw 30mpg to begin with, and I once even got shot of a 65litre tank of V-power in 180miles

I wanted a White GP, with the black optional wheels, I could not get a White gp in the three door unless it was a factory order and the wheels were rare as rocking horse ****. I found what I wanted in Surrey for £10595, but they offered me silly money for my car P/ex. My car is however up for sale. Besides I think I will prefer the black to white. I have owned a white 197cup, and have not had black since my first 172, 3 years back now. So I am looking forward to it.
Where can I get those optional upgrade alloys from? Are they sought after?

Right then. Price not too bad i paid £9500 for mine new.

Reliabity right then where do i start. Out of the 4 months ive owned it 2.5 have been in the dealers for warrenty work, new alternator, battery, rear brake caliper, replaced so far. Central locking is working properly at the moment. Other stuff has happened aswell but cant remember off the top of my head as there has been quite a bit.

They are quite tuneable im at 150bhp from induction kit and a map and i can quite happily stick quite close to stock 172/182s. Next stage it new turbo and FMIC and full exhaust and then you are looking at 180ish bhp. There is a Tjet running 260bhp but i dont have a clue what has been done to this however i am led to belive 200bhp is easily achieveable.

haha. im the apprentice in JJ motors mate. saw you the other day. 53 reg blue 172 aint it?

small f*****g world.

how come you joined ff then?

Hey mate hows it going. I am a member of various owners clubs over the years and like to get involved. Hense the reason I have joined, owners club usually means a bit of help from the people who know the cars best (the owners). Slightly concerned about the Warranty issues, I know the warranty will sort these issues out, but I bought the car to enjoy it, not for it to be in the garagw all the time. Maybe the fact you paid £9500 meant the stealer you purchased it from kicked the **** out of the car prior to you picking it up :), I dunno I can only speculate. But yes Claw, tahts my clio the 53plate 172. Get your guys down there to offer decent money for p/ex's I will say that.

I don't doubt that 200bhp is easily acheivable, but judging by the reliabilty issues you have just brought up to me, I would hate to think how these cars are running at 150bhp, let alone 200.

I tell you what though, the more and more I look at the GP 1.4 t-jet. The more beautiful the car looks to me. Your Punto in your Sig looks the ******** matt. Same spec as mine, looking forward to it. Question, this blueMe system. Whats is all about?

The engine is fine i have had no problems with that, its just other stuff that has broken.Everything that has gone went wrong before i starte playing with the engine. They are putting out about 140bhp as standard aswell not the 120 fiat claim ;)

Blue and me is just bluetooth handsfree for your phone
