ello people am new on here just wonted to as anyone had the same problem like me on my grande active 1.2 am driving it it lost a bit off power and sounds dead lound like you have to change gear straight away when you no you can get a bit more out off that gear if you no what i mean it asnt been serviced yet am thinking it could be the air filter have you got any ideas or had this problem

yes i do jamie, i have just been in my car then driving it and in 3rd gear at 2500 revs it snd like a formula 1car lol loud and no power the exhaust is fine its an 07 plate grande

i have ad a look at the engine and were the air fliter leads to it connects to the outlet manifold were the joint is its split leaving a gap 4 the air to escape could that bemy problem?

That probably is the problem yes. Can you take a photo of it?

I have a 1.2 active GP and it's definetly not loud. Engine sounds quite nice actually. With the exception of 1st gear, all the rest keep pulling well up to 4.5k revs when needed.

Yeah it is dirty, would you mind opening it up and have a look at the air filter or take a pic and we can look at the air filter?

Also how old is the car and how many miles has it done?

the fliter is clean as *** looks brand new and the car is an 07 plate its dirty cos i work on a site and it very dusty miles is 10600

Oh right.

Its just that my car used to make a sound like this at 2600 rpm and it sounded awesome, but now its gone away after about 7000 miles.

Also people with MK2 punto's use to get it too, upto about 6-7000 miles. Strange.

You have up to 10 days after the service date to get it booked in. After that then technically they void your warrenty if it isnt serviced.

WOW looks like you just finished the PARIS-DAKAAR rally!!

Your pic looks the same as mine and i dont have a gap, its the way the air box is made. If it was leaking air from there it would be sucking air in not blowing out.

no this isnt ment to be like that you can see were the lip as melted it can clip on and off but mine wont click on cos its ****ed any1 now were i could get the housing for the air fliter ????
