hey guys .... just a quick one, what heppens when you abarth punto needs a survice, will you be required to take it to an abarth dealership OR will any fiat garage cater for it? - im asking because if i was t buy and abarth punto my nearist abarth dealership is in york and thats 45-60 mins drive away :S

I guess mine will be York also then. More to the point. How much are Abarth service costs? LOL :D

Servicing costs are part of ownership and running costs, something to be considered at purchase surely?

I agree thats my nearest dealer and its roughly the same for me. Far to far away just for a service IMO.

I know that! DOH! I just would like to know the difference in prices from the normal GP.

So your earlier Post

should really have said
"How much do Abarth Services cost compared to Fiat"? or similar... sorry my bad...

It really confuses me how people cant find stuff out for themselves now a days lol Would it not be a whole lot easier to just ring up an abarth dealer tell them you are intrested in a car but want to know what the servicing costs are like? lol

Am I the only one who thinks the abarth is a complete waste of time because of the lack of dealers don’t see this happening with other car manufactures do you? I would not want to travel 50 miles to have car fixed.

see thats my point.... plus if u break down theres only 10 garages to go to!!!... does seem crazy tbh - i understand that there going t b very rare and thats quite special (it also appeals to me) but a drive of as u say 50 miles is a little fare espeically if u get the usual faults with the normal fiats... iv been back t my dealership 4 times now for silly little things like creeking doors, squeeking brakes, etc...

(however i dont think the abarth is a waste of time... i do like it :p)

 Just because im on a forum it doesnt mean i cant find stuff out for myself. Yes this place is here to help but every little thing i want to know about my car im not gonna post up about when i can most likely work it out for myself or take it somewhere that can tell me about it. If i cant find out what i want to know then i will ask on here.

Yes you are missing the point. Its 10 dealers for the time being. More are being opened and the whole point of having less dealers is to make it a more exclusive car, and for when it does go into serviceing you are supposedly meant to feel like "mates" with your technician as there arent going to be loads of random people working on your car. Plenty of manufacturers only have a few garages over the country. Granted they are mainly supercar dealers but thats not the point, its still an exclusive brand like they are trying to get the abarth to be.

So, are you also saying that Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini etc. are a waste of time because they too have a lack of dealers?

You said it yourself silly things. Whats even the point in taking it back for squeaking brakes, its just one of those things, and creaking doors man thats being picky.
