mirrors faded with water marks

right
i know i have asked this beforee- i have the black plastic active mirrors on my punto grande
have tried peanut butter, back to black, baby oil etc...
all these are great on the parts of the plastic trim that are black but on the top and front of the mirrors i have bad greyish 'water tidemarks' fading that dont shift with the methods above.
i know a lot of you use bumper gels etc... but will these products work on turning the plastic back to black colour from a grey/white faded look??:b ang:

Re: mirrors faded with water marks

Wish i knew that earlier. 2 year warranty ran out 2 weeks ago. Be easier to just buy new covers now.

Re: mirrors faded with water marks

Autoglym Bumper Trim is the best for any black trim hands down.

If the water marks are on a painted area then Autoglym Tar Remover followed by some Meguairs Polish and a coating of Tech Wax will bring them up nicely.

They will come in primer and then you will have to get them sprayed yourself.

Re: mirrors faded with water marks

So they don't come pre painted. So what happens if someones mirror broke and they needed replacing and under warranty?

Re: mirrors faded with water marks

Why would the mirror casing breaking be covered under warrenty? And if it did happen then a cover would be ordered and sent to a bodyshop for spraying.

No colour coded body part will come from fiat sprayed. They will all be primered.

Because its obviously a fault in the material, dont need spraying as only happens to black (non-painted) ones.
