Different bottom end (crank, connecting rods, shells etc etc). Not an easy transplant if thats what your thinking ;).

Believe me i've looked into this as I have a mk2b Punto Sporting 1.4 16v which is the same engine although in my car thats nearly 200kg lighter it should be much more fun!! :D

that was excactly what i was thinking.i bought mine 3 months before the turbo was released.noone told me, not even the dealer told me that there would be a t-jet version. your car is very fast by the way.i think is as fast as the tjet if not faster.great car.

Of course.... its an MJet! (that old argument needs to restart!) :D

no mate. nothing about taxes.it is about polution.they(goverment) believe that diesel have much more emission than a petrol one,not only CO2 but NO3 and other harmful chemicals that petrol one produce.but in every other civilized area of the world diesel magically turn into ''green''cars.only here they are baptized hazardous.

if you're that peeved that you bought a car thats not fast enough, then make it faster, ie, GSR induction kit and remap!!!:D

personally i'm quite happy with the performance of my car, but i want that little bit more bhp and grunt, so awaiting on my induction kit to turn up!!(y)

thanks.does it really make that much of a difference or only if i combine it with remap.also, changing the iduction was within my plans but an engineer stopped me by telling me that after market induction kits allow dust and other harmfull dirt to penetrate into the motor.is it true or i just delayed a good tranformation?(your advices are much appreciated)

Well to be honest, i've never heard about dirt ruining the engine before, the GSR (can't vouch for any others im afraid, coz iv'e not tried them) increases on average between 7 -12 bhp!! not sure about the remap too, so hopefully OLDSCHOOL will be able to help you there, or go to www.gsr.co.uk coz it will tell you the approx output!!

we can't remap our cars yet...they have the dodgy ECU that hasn't been cracked :( Although the previous 2 in the series have to we're not far off!! :D

The GSR makes a HUUUUUGE difference. Should take your 0-60 time down to somewhere in the 9 seconds and the everyday driving is miles more impressive...and the noise...omg lol
