Last saturday i popped over to my mates to give the grande a quick detail. Started at about half 10 in the morning and were done for about half 8 in the evening.

Started off like:



Cleaning:





Dryed and taped up after a clean and a clay:






After using the porter cable on the car:






Then finished it with a coat of victoria concours red wax:

Didnt it rain where you was then? I was up Linconshire and it was pissing it down all weekend so i didnt bother 2 clean my car lol.

What product/s did you use with pc?

started off with some low cut menzerna polish (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polis...e/menzerna-final-finish-po106fa/prod_223.html) then changed to meguiars #83 dual action because the menzerna wasnt getting the scratches out too well (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing/polish/meguiars-83-cleaner/polish/prod_90.html)

I dunno what it is, but those last shots of your car on the road make it look stunning. Looks nice and beasty, it could be because of that smaller black no. plate :chin:

Top job! Also I think maybe get some white bulbs and or HID's

Hid's will go in when i get my abarth lights

megs 83 is a great product for light correction work

Are the old vintage style number plates (white on black) actually legal?!

I thought you had to have an actual vintage plate to get away with that these days...

they are illegal, Even more so when the front plate is a 12 x 3" and the rear is either a 12 1/2 x 3" or a 14 x 3"(cant remember the size i went for) I dont run with them all the time as i cant be bothered with the hassle when im using the car to go to meetings etc.

Cheers mate, Im not doing it again for a longggggggggg time. It took long enough with 2 of us doing it so with one person i would dread to think lol

And you are probably one of the few people that does actually like the plates lol. Personally i love them and think they are mint. Shame i dont run with them everyday

Lovely job m8. Took me all day one day to do my red sporting, then the following day it pissed it down. Sods law I guess. But don't they look stunnin when they are clean.

Did you manage to get it swirl free?

You need some clearkote cream wax and moose wax to finish off the shine

We got most of the swirling out so came up nicely

I use victoria concours red wax as that finishes it nicely

well, have to say im really impressed!! one question though, is a porter cable a buffer, or something completely different? coz if its a buffer, then im sooo buying one after seeing your motor!!

Pointless buying one if you are only going to be doing your car though as it only needs doing once every year maximum. Mine wont be getting done again till i sell it unless it gets some real bad scratches in it.
