I bought some 'Defender' window tints from halfords today and they are the gayest thing to do ever! I thought I would be ok but the tints had been damaged in the box so when I peeled then there were small crease marks that would not go away. Then when I went to cut the tints to size it split! So after about an hour of swearing I gave up! Those who have done it themselves are saints! lol. Ok rant over.

Anyway anyone know of any good window tinters near Guildford/Farnham? Or the best tint to buy/ tips? Cos I found it difficult to do the side windows as the outside is a lot bigger than the inside.

you know you supposed to fit them to the out side first, then cut to size peal off and fit them inside?

hmmmmm ok then, iv done it on 3 cars with perfect results, with no experiance, its easy, just take it slow.

fair enough son but don't want to burst your bubble but i bet its not as good a job as the experts do. now to be fair i haven't seen your end result, but what you deem as perfect may somewhat differ from other peoples idea of perfection;) most people I've come across, well practacly all who have tried diy tinting have in hindsight said they should have had it done professionally...some end results I've seen from the distance looked not too bad but on closer inspection was a different story:eek:

I do know that and I did that. But the probs with the GP is that the window inside is smaller than the outside as the pillars get in the way which makes it really difficult.
