Fan motor by any chance Luvduvs? Is the fan on? I know its hot by u... :D

My cars italian and it doesn't fuking creak. That aint no excuse lol. It used to rattle but I've persistantly one by one norrowed them down and fixed them

Way to go... what few I had I fixed myself permanently. (y)

Thats exactly what I meant by "looking after my car" :D

  • Cleared out everything in glovebox - still creaked.
  • Opened bonnet, noticed the black foamy thing near the passenger edge was slightly out of place, so moved it back into place - still creaked.
  • Btw for those who're not aware, mine had been smash-repaired at the area where the creaking is coming from - http://fiatforum.com/grande-punto/146258-maybe-i-wasn-t-meant-own-fiat.html
  • Sprayed WD40 onto passenger door hinges and any other joints I could find - still creaked.
Almost started crying out of desperation, then noticed the small piece of black plastic (at the bottom of the windscreen, passenger side) was loose. Poked it, and it made a slight, yet annoying tingling noise very similar to the creaking. Checked the driver's side, and it was firmly in place, no noise.

This has to be the source, given the smash repairer would have taken that area apart to fix the damage, and its obvious they didn't put it back in place properly.

Next step: I'll try to superglue the plastic thing onto the windscreen and hope that will make the noise go away. Is superglue bad for the car?

Looks like I'm back to square one - tried taping the plastic bit in place - still creaked

And the creaking on the right side's returned :bang:

is air intake pipe bracket tight?

Where's that?

I had this noise, seemed to be coming from a bit higher up though.

Turns out there was a cable that wasnt correctly seated behind the passenger side pillar.

You wouldnt believe how many interior panels I have found to be not quite clicked into place.

There was an annoying knock/rattle coming from the back of the car. turns out the big cream panel to left of the boot wasnt clicked down properly.

The seatbelt surrounds (where the belt is fed from the roller) werent correctly in place either, Or the front door cards. And there is part of the centre console on the floor (looks like a vent but isnt) that isnt quite in place but doesnt click if I hit it?:bang:

Bloody hell is anything put together properly??

I suspect the panel beater didn't put the parts back together properly, or may have left something loose, so might have to take it back

The other thing I noticed is during higher speeds (i.e. 60km/hr+) the creaking seems to go away, and comes back when its slower speeds :chin:

Just visited the repairer, who said the creaking was coming from inside the dash (which sounds like it), so its not really their responsibility to fix :(

Just a thought: when I collected the car a while ago the repairer adjusted the front passenger door's strike plate because the door was slightly sticking out using an allen key (or whatever its called)..

Would that be causing the creaking by any chance?
